While on vacation this year we visited our relative's farm (and picked some VERY tasty strawberries from our uncle's garden). After that we visited a friend at his cabin at Higgins Lake in northern Michigan and had a great time. We fished, swam, raced go-carts, played putt-putt golf, went tubing, ate strawberries, cooked some of the fish we caught, walked on a sunken island in the middle of the lake, (and then had more strawberries). Katie had a great time swimming and wading with Jon's mom, and there was hardly a minute that went by that Tyler didn't have a fishing rod in his hand.

Our cousin made this from old tractor parts

Mom the professional strawberry picker

Jon

Jon's mom (Margaret - aka Muggs) - gets around pretty darned good for being 88 years young

Birds obviously can't read "NO TRESPASSING" signs

We have no idea who these gals are, just thought it was a unique photo

Two bathing beauties

Katie and Margaret walked, and walked, and walked, and walked

And then they floated back. Vacationing is such hard work

Back after a long stroll in the lake

Jon's boat (no - not a "jon boat")

Santa, can I get one of these for Christmas?

Can you see my abs?

DAD! Don't take my pitcture!!!

I'm the troll under the dock and I'll squirt you if you mess with me!

Katie tubing. Notice how her expression changes from happy to terrified to relaxed to mad.

Tyler said he wanted a wilder ride, and got it.

It was hard to pry that fishing rod out of Tyler's hands. He fished while wading...

He fished from the dock (And of course from Jon's boat).

Tyler even caught some fish while wading. We didn't have a camera with us while fishing from the boat, so everyone will have to take his word that he caught more and bigger fish then.

Ahhh. Nice to relax after a rough day fishing and tubing.

This vacation stuff is hard work.
